In Wendy Lang’s third-grade class, students flooded the seats with purple shirts, purple wristbands and purple ribbons to show their support for her sister, Robin Anderson, who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. "We wanted to bring awareness and inform others about the importance of Pancreatic Cancer screenings and how it allows for early detection of this cancer which is significantly on the rise,” said Ms. Lang. “People know to get their routine screenings for breast and colon cancer, but pancreatic cancer should also be added to this list.”
